When the Arizona legislature originally wrote our traffic laws and speed limits, cars were lucky to have 150 horsepower and weak drum brakes. In 2025 things are much different, but the laws have not caught up.

High performance cars routinely make 1000 horsepower and can stop from 100mph in a matter of feet.
Cars are remarkably safer, but the average prosecutor and judge are not car enthusiasts. One of my biggest strengths is arguing to explain that driving 100mph in a Ferrari is much different from a Prius. Someone has to make them understand that not every case is the same, and that our traffic laws are archaic–That is what I do best.
